Advise When Buying a Home

Buying a home can be a very intimidating process, especially if it’s your first time.

Check Your Credit Report and Score.

Figure out How Much You Can Afford.

There are several online mortgage calculators that will help you calculate an affordable monthly mortgage payment. Factor in money you’ll need for a down payment, closing costs and fees for an attorney, appraisal, inspection, etc.

Find the Right Lender and Real Estate Agent.

Get recommendations from your friends and family. Check with the Better Business Bureau and talk to at least three or four mortgage lenders before you settle on one.

Closing on Your Home.
Make sure you get a home inspection before you close. It will be well-worth the money spent since it ensures the property’s structural sound and in good condition. Set the closing date that is convenient to both parties.
Moving In.
